After looking all over California, I went to Bonnie Tanner to see what she had for sale. Carena was for sale and that was that! Carena is a wonderful Andalusian mare. She was accepted by the Cria Caballar into the Spanish stud book as a 10 year old. She had been turned down when she was younger, so this was a rare accomplishment. She had (2) foals when she was owned by Bonnie. And she has had (5) foals for me.....three fillies and two colt. Her first one for me was sired by Don Marco and produced Alante HTR, who has turned out to be my dream horse. Her second filly was Carisma HTR, sired by Dragonwood's Impresario DW, a son of Don Marco. This year, 2007, she has had a full sibling to Carisma HTR. He is a very big, correct colt with a peresonality anyone has to like. His name is "Maestro HTR" (pending). |
